INTRODUCTION

Jane Austen World Health Organization started writing, as a tool for amusing her members of the family is currently thought of in concert of the best pioneers of the movement in English literature. Born in 1775, in a very settlement in southwest European country wherever she spent most of her life, author was the seventh kid of a class family. Thus, Jane and her siblings were raised per the principles of class. Her father was associate degree intellectual and sensitive man World Health Organization inspired all his youngsters in their love of reading and writing. Her mother was conjointly referred to as a lady World Health Organization was gifted in manufacturing literary works like poems and short stories. Indeed, writing for the full author family was how of recreation. Thus, writer began to jot down systematically to amuse her relatives. Since she had a present of observant her setting and picturing the life she saw vividly, Miss author mirrored the excellence between genders in European country. Actually, it';s this crossroads of read, that currently leads to Austen’s being thought to be a member of feminist tradition.

Jane Austen is taken into account vital within the feminist convention as a result of she reflects the condition of class girls in associate degree animate manner in her novels. She writes as a vital choose of her own society. As Henry Bonell asserts Austen’s vogue is easy however not naïve, her themes ar profound and not superficial; her language is satiric however not on top of sincerity and humour. Thus, author is totally different from her modern girls writers as a result of she doesn';t turbulently establish herself with any of her characters and none of her books ar written within the person. instead of using a form of robust imagination or sense of duty to the characters, she provides them associate degree impersonal freedom (387). In different words, as Bonell states in another context in his article “Her terrific Charm ”; if author had written Emma, Emma’s story would are narrated in an environment of rebellion and Harriet would have suffered from the treatment of Emma. Or else, if writer had written Pride and Prejudice, geographic area would are forced to

turn back to her father’s home attributable to a sense of family duty and social helplessness (387).

It is regarded that the voice of sure social sorts is detected through dialogues in Austen’s works. Such {a vogue|a method|a mode} conveys the message through conversations that ar principally established on every-day language and associations and this style has cause a comparison of author and Shakspere. historiographer, a up to date critic of writer, makes the subsequent interpretation:

Shakespeare has had neither equal nor second. however among the writers World Health Organization have approached the closest to the nice master, we';ve got no hesitation on inserting writer, a lady whom European country is justly proud. She has given North American nation a mess of characters, tired an explicit sense, commonplace; all like we tend to meet everyday. Yet, they';re all absolutely discriminated from one another as if they were the foremost eccentric of persons.

(qtd. in Wright 18)

However, at regarding identical time, Charlotte Bronté dismisses author with a substantial feeling of superiority with the subsequent comment regarding Pride and Prejudice:

An correct photograph portrait of commonplace face, a rigorously enclosed, extremely cultivated garden with neat borders and delicate flowers; however no look of bright, vivid human face, no open country, no recent air, no blue hill, no fair beck; I ought to hardly prefer to accept her girls and gentlemen, in their elegant however confined homes. (18 )

According to Apostle Wright, what Bronté confuses is that the distinction between dispassionateness and superiority. Austen’s calmness with that she writes of “the delicate flowers” leads Bronté to believe that writer is associate degree author of mere surface (20). Besides, Bronté ignores that author identifies herself together with her descriptions and he or she creates her characters as if they were alive. Moreover, in her

novels author will handle the Shakespearian components, that ar depth, range, and impersonal detachment that necessitate humour.

Therefore, for Austen, humour could be a manner of criticizing each the category she belongs to and therefore the social settings she lives in. Her novels don';t make fun through correction however they lead the reader to associate degree investigation of generalized kinds of comic delusions. At now, Bonell testifies that Austen’s chosen field to ridicule the social ironies of life is comedy. Her stories and characters ar amusing. there';s no storm, stress, no solutions for trendy issues, or no death in her novels. What she deals with is that the paradoxes of life, with that she is acquainted (401). She observes the shortcomings and follies of world with a keen eye and echoes them in her novels perceptibly. Likewise, Jane Nardin makes an extra remark that the conception of wittiness for writer is simply the ridiculous awareness of incongruousness that';s typically referred to as “irony”. Irony is characteristically the yardstick by that she measures the adequacy of ethical positions within the society (2).

In the lexicon of Literary Terms, “satire” is outlined because the ridicule of any subject -an plan, or institution- to lower it within the reader’s esteem and create it laughable (147). Likewise, Arthur Pollard asserts, the aim of wittiness is to mirror the complexities of life at intervals a highlight of ridicule and fantasy. an honest example of wittiness is Cervantes’ worldwide illustrious work, Don Quixote. The greatness of Don Quixote lies in its vast selection, its absurd and profound comments on life. It offers such richness of content and elegance that';s established on the key components, imagination of the hero and therefore the past romance (217). In a way, the fundamental feature of wittiness is that the irony that';s found between reality and look. Here, the irony controls Don Quixote’s mood of break loose the basic issues and responsibilities of life. Likewise, Austen’s Emma shares identical characteristics with Don Quixote to some extent. Emma conjointly suffers from associate degree excessive imagination, that makes her assume that she is usually right in her observations of life. per Wright, Emma continuously|is usually|is often} wrong however she always thinks that she is correct. Therefore, Emma is taken into account as a comedy of misconception (33).

As a sort of wittiness, author principally employs irony and comedy as a weapon against a culture that appears down on girls and as a tool for revealing the voice of ladies. At now, it';s vital to outline the meanings of “irony” and

“comedy”. within the lexicon of Literary Terms, “irony” is outlined as a tool by that a author expresses a which means contradictory to the expressed or ostensible one. to attain associate degree ironic tone, the author could create it clear that the which means he intends is that the opposite of his literal one. Or else, the author could construct a discrepancy between associate degree expectation and its fulfilment or between the looks of a state of affairs and therefore the reality that underlies it. regardless of the technique is, the author demands that the reader understand the hid which means that lies to a lower place his surface statement (132-133). As way as comedy worries, Austen’s novels ar high comedies. Again, lexicon of Literary Terms defines “high comedy” as a term, that is applied to sarcastic comedy whose charm is primarily intellectual. It works with intellect and wit.In general, comedy is sleek, humourous and urbane (109).

Austen’s novels contain a sublime state of social criticism of the community within which she lived as a result of they bit on women’s place and outlook. She utilizes associate degree ironic humour whereas making her heroines. Especially, Emma Woodhouse and Elizabeth Bennet represent each the voice and therefore the read of the author herself and therefore the class girls. That is, author chooses a specific social downside regarding girls and he or she solves that downside from the purpose of women’s thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Her treatment of every lady is totally different. She is aware of a way to draw the spectators’ attention to the qualities of her heroines. that';s why Emma is seen because the most significant woman of Highbury and Elizabeth’s brilliance is quickly complete by mister. Darcy. Moreover, Elizabeth Bowen makes an extra remark that author sees her heroines in pleasing lightweight and he or she reflects their liveliness and fun. However, she is additionally able to mirror the edges of her characters while not buffooning or devaluating them (109). As a result, writer is thought to be a feminist author attributable to her questioning the philosophy of the age regarding the position of ladies.

One of the explanations that create writer a feminist author is that she values the place of ladies in domestic life. what is more, she portrays girls as capable of acting severally against the patricentric system. However, what Miss author has done isn';t an on the spot reaction against the place of the feminine within the class society; rather she reflects women’s liveliness, intelligence, charm, and significance as a vigorous member of community through her heroines. Deborah

Kaplan talks regarding Austen’s freelance feminine representations against the patricentric pictures of the society. She states that particularly in Pride and Prejudice, Miss author creates Elizabeth Bennet as a mirrored image of active female in response to the facility of patricentric ideologies. Since Elizabeth is certain of her opinions, she is assured in her conversations. Thus, Kaplan asserts, “To convey awareness of sexual difference and delicate and raw expression of its unfairness, the heroine speaks with a feminine voice” (189). What she defines as “a feminine voice” is ascertained within the rebellious and unconventional talk Austen’s heroines.

Representing “the feminine voice” could be a manner of distinguishing women’s place within the society. the feminine voice is that the expression of the feminine expertise and consider. it';s the reflection of the “female identity”. the simplest manner of expressing feminine cognizance emerges through literature. Therefore, the feminine voice is established by constructing a self-conscious and a self-defining character against the patricentric system. Likewise, Elaine Showalter talks regarding 3 phases that ar followed whereas manufacturing a literary composition so as to construct a “female” identity:

First, there';s a chronic section of ‘imitation’ of the prevailing modes of the dominant tradition, and ‘internalization’ of its standards of art and its views on social roles. Second, there';s a section of ‘protest’ against these standards and values, and ‘advocacy’ of minority rights and values, together with a requirement for autonomy. Finally, there';s a section of ‘self-discovery’, a turning inward free of a number of the dependency of opposition, an enquiry for identity. (13)

The qualities that create author a feminist author belong her manner and strategies of conveyance a universal message of the feminine voice. Austen’s type of manufacturing her novels is parallel with the phases that Showalter names so as to construct characters that have a feminine voice. In Austen’s novels, the importance of social roles and therefore the discrimination between genders whereas developing social roles will clearly be ascertained. Besides, Austen’s construction of her characters and therefore the interaction between those characters reveal that she is awake to the values of her time. The protest of her heroines against the secondary place of ladies shows that author creates heroines that have a self-conscious identity.

On the opposite hand, writer has invariably been criticized for her silence and covertness in sharing the universal message of feminine voice together with her audience. She doesn';t convey her criticism directly though she manages to insert a feminine voice in her work. Such associate degree indirect approach may be explained with a respect to Austen’s story. As a class lady, Austen’s rights for expressing her thoughts were restricted by the principles of the community within which she lived. that';s to mention, her sister prophetess was the sole one that was shut enough to Jane to understand regarding her inner world, her real feelings, and thoughts. Actually, most of the writings of author were later gathered from Cassandra’s archive when Jane’s death. The pressure of thuscial regularities was so robust that she couldn';t even use her name within the 1st publications of the many of her novels. as an example, the primary publication of “Sense and Sensibility” appeared on the shelves while not her own name. Yet, the place of the author’s name on the quilt page was stuffed by a motivating expression “By A Lady”. per Margaret Kirkham, significantly the usage of the word “lady” is very important since it implies that though author doesn';t need to be famous in public by her own name, she desires to spot her gender (15).

Nevertheless, Austen’s efforts to react against the patricentric values of eighteenth century European country create her a feminist author of contemporary times. If feminism is associate degree support of women’s rights or claims in life, then Austen’s heroines ar acting to achieve this aim. Similarly, Gerry Kelly declares that her novels contain feminist components since her heroines protest, but silently, against the social, legal and economic injustice of male dominance, restriction of women’s property rights and feminine economic dependence on men. They indirectly reveal however stately culture underestimates girls, going them with very little various access to power. Her novels criticize the too-active image of men and illustrate the bounds of passivity for the feminine identity (24). not like some feminist critics World Health Organization would love to envision girls as living in a very virtuously separate world, author doesn';t produce a particular social and ethical universe for girls. Austen’s morality doesn';t support worldly self-interest and trendy standards for self-enhancement.

All the novels of author depict social things and establishments that ar contrary to women’s exercise of creating full use of their talents. Thus, the daily lives of ladies and their thoughts and emotions ar the themes of her novels. She could be a sympathetic choose of her own society and he or she evaluates significantly the social outlook of ladies and their position within the community. author lived in a very little world within which the values were ne';er questioned. However, she was brave enough to affect a category whose habits and tastes were totally different from people who the author created in her works. She uses wittiness within the sense of fine humour and social irony to mirror her revolutionary concepts. As Deborah Kaplan states, author has famous that her perceptions and values ar every now and then con and he or she seeks to avoid renderings not solely of ludicrously incompatible novel conventions however conjointly of overtly conflicting cultural views (201). {the feminine|the feminine} voice; feminine identity isn';t as apparent within the text as patricentric values however readers usually discover the obscured female voice. That is, they have an inclination to think about the deep feminine voice as one thing a lot of meaning and existent than what';s seen on the surface of the text. Thus, author achieves level of conceptualising the various ethical views of heroines in a very framework of social relations.

Austen constructs her characters accurately so as to disclose the total expression of this feminine voice. Jane Nardin testifies that such how of embodying characters in her passages leads to a “rhetoric irony” that carries a certain and unambiguous which means. Rhetoric irony is so a component of fashion by that the speaker says one thing a lot of or one thing less, or one thing totally different from what he or she really means that. In a way, the author leaves the audience to deduce his or her actual which means from the immediate context. However, another variety of irony that is that the “irony of viewpoint” can even be applied to Austen’s works. Irony of viewpoint is associate degree outcome of Austen’s own philosophy of life that involves associate degree difference between ideal and existence, social pretence and ethical reality, and between the manner individuals act and therefore the manner they have to be compelled to (5).

As a result, it is recommended that author will increase the result of irony by making an inventive organization in her novels. as an example, the primary 2 sentences of Pride an

The destiny of human being is to use the nature and if he';;s kind,on using nature, everything is ok.

We are on the time, that nature is on the end. This is part of evolution and maybe the only way,for the human being to appreciate nature. If we imagine that animals suffer, not because we eat them but because of some people,it';;s necessary for the nature to relax, its necessary a New Age to rise.

But we have to think,is it possible to survive out of nature? It can';;t to wear a mask of oxygen, down of air-condition and eat only hamburgers.People, will suffer if we don';;t make special towns, for the people.

But, who cares for the people? The politicians, don';;t care about the poor working persons and destroyed people

because they don';;t care for others.People, care about money and not for people. As better you become from the others as much poison you sent to them.

As more you have,as less you give. The people who has nothing, only gives. But what is impossible for people, is possible for God.

And something else, happy nature is free nature, but happens terrible things in that freedom. To be safe maybe is more important than freedom. But what is freedom?

Where is God is also freedom tells the bible.Freedom is not to need somebody,to do what you like in your life and that is the results of a good job,a good family. It is not a good result, but right for everybody not to die first and then to make the job of his dreams or never.

For the God person does bad so he needs God to do good. But person for God is free, to do even bad.

Bible tells where is God is freedom but politician people does not keep in mind.

Special for Greece a nowdays depressive country, full of destroyed people.

It seems paradoxical – the more you give away, the more people are willing to pay for your services – but it’s true. This exact approach has worked quickly and effectively for me for years. The key is that it’s got to be good and of high relevance to your target audience. This builds people’s confidence that you consistently know your stuff and that you can be counted on for long-term value. People soon realize that if you’re willing to give away such valuable expertise, think how great the solutions they pay for will be! So how do you share your expertise with your target audience? Through writing and speaking.

And it starts with being able to get your core ideas down on paper in a way that catches your audience’s attention and compels them to action. If the idea of writing an article or giving a speech feels overwhelming, stay with me. I’m going to show you how easy it can be if you follow a basic formula that works every time. Formula for Success We’ve all stared at a blank page, at a loss for words or ideas…

and wondered how in the world to write the article, proposal, report or presentation that’s due soon…

with the deadline looming and no inspiration in sight. It’s the worst feeling and brings out the procrastinator in all of us. Next time you’d rather clean out your desk than force yourself to sit down and write something, try this easy approach:

1) Brainstorm a short list of things that your clients struggle with. What problems drive them to you? Why are they willing to pay good money for your services. Remember, it’s not about you -- it’s about them, their pain, and their needs. This is now your list of topics for articles and talks.

2) Pick one topic and answer the following questions: • What’s the problem? • What’s the lost opportunity? • Why is this important to address? • What will happen if it’s ignored? • What’s your solution? • What tips do you have for implementing your solution? • What example can you use to illustrate your point?

3) Write your answers to these questions and don’t worry about how it flows or even that you’re using good grammar. Just get your ideas on paper (or into the computer). Notice that by now, you have at least a page written. Pat yourself on the back and keep going.

4) Go back and clean up what you’ve written, add a catchy title and some headlines to break up the text, keep your paragraphs short, add some bullets or numbers to guide the eye. Maybe add references or a diagram. Step back and review what you’ve done. By now, you’ve got an article!

5) Ask a couple of trusted colleagues, clients or friends for feedback on your draft – really do this because it helps! Plus, it’s a great confidence booster and low-risk way to share your writing with a small audience first.

6) Put your new article on your website, offer to send it as follow up when networking, send it to current clients, use it as the basis for getting booked for talks (more on how to in a future newsletter)…whatever you do, don’t let it languish. USE it as a way of sharing your expertise. For more tips on how to share your expertise through writing, keep reading... Taking a page from Twyla Tharp’s new book, The Creative Habit, this prolific dancer and choreographer shares her tips for moving from procrastination to creativity, regularly and with ease. Apply these ideas to your writing and notice the difference…

1) Set up a creative environment that’s habit forming. Creativity doesn’t just happen, it’s a disciplined skill that can be learned. Creativity is not a mystical, elusive gift that’s only accessible to artists. Everyone can develop it. Set up the right conditions and it eventually kicks-in. For me, it’s the act of daily planning that clears my mind to make room for ideas to flow. For you, it might be puttering in your garden or going for a walk. Whatever it is, do it daily and be disciplined about it.

2) Use an organizational system for your ideas. Over the course of a month, I run into articles, quotes, websites, books, photos, experiences, and conversations…all of which inspire me for an upcoming article or talk. I capture them in folders, labeled by theme or big idea. When I’m ready to start writing, I draw on this collection of resources to inspire and guide my thinking. Twyla Tharp uses a box for each new project. You might find a binder the best catchall. Whatever works for you, the mere act of labeling and filling your container demonstrates your commitment to the idea.

Future of Elephants

There is a high rate of poaching and this poses a threat to the family of elephants globally. But there is concern over the human and animal conflict and whether we need the elephants in the near future.

Recent Kenyan reports indicate that the poaching on elephants is at the rise. Elephants are being reduced in numbers through poaching by unknown, organized and connected poachers-including Kenya Wild Life services (KWS) staff.

So what’s the future of our elephants? I’ve always engaged my rational and irrational brains on discussions of the future of elephants and whether the coming generation will really need them. Just like the dinosaurs of the Mesozoic era our elephants will definitely follow suit.

Elephants eat up to 300kg/day of grass and drink from 100-300Litres of water per day. So consider having 30 elephants within a park and bearing in mind that population is increasing and we need more farmland to cultivate and keep our animals in to sustain our livelihoods. So will we leave our farmlands and opt for other methods of obtaining food in the name of preserving elephants?

Elephants should not be conserved for their own sake. They should be considered to serve the good of humanity. If it becomes a menace it should be done away with, after all who will be needing elephants in the 22nd C when 90% of the world’s population will be urbanized and most of our activities will be confined and controlled by technology if you need to see elephants just do a search and there you go elephants documented 100 years ago appear on your screen and you watch them at the comfort of your home.

Why should we waste a lot of money ratifying treaties and holding conferences on a species that will soon come to pass? We are just doing delaying tactics in the name of abiding to Bruntland Report (WCED 1987) on sustainability of resources. In this elephants and humans battle it’s like fighting the climate change wars or trying to compete with nature.

The elephants should be used to address our current needs, mostly in developing countries we should not be purporting to conserve elephants-to just be considered loyal to CITES-while we are dying of hunger and malnutrition and we have treasure at the wild. Income generated from elephants can be used in developing projects that are and will be relevant and generate more income to the nation.

We should therefore harvest elephants sustainably and use the benefits that are derived from them to alleviate our present generation needs.

I come from a small town in southern China

Home, beautiful place, the mountain with water, are in different places always homesick relatives.

Southern woman, born exotic!

Although they petite body, but have an overall sense of things, never sprinkle unnecessary Johnson.Summer is coming, and they dare to street shoes, walking barefoot, just cooler on the line. They will put aside sandals Ling in his hand, while loudly call: "My shoes?" Numerous junctions in southern China, we can see the most virtuous Southern women, they dressed, casual manners: In the south, there is little stout and thick fierce girl, It is as if they grew up living in a drop of water inside, The eyes are round and round and looked to, or support that does not break the dripping walls, tall women dating and the North, always only in people under the shoulder bounce, like petals of Thumbelina. But it is definitely not a Vietnamese woman who is so fine willow Fufeng, but some lean and strong, very healthy and full of elasticity, as groups of small plasticine, both inside and outside the body has infinite charm.

A song of home Small town girl Remember many years ago with you hand in hand You are shy did not look up Only silly looking at the stars You are so pristine Notice that you receive the list My mind becomes confused I do not know for you but also for your own pleasure sorrow Had to let you go Do not understand Do not understand Why can not I relaxed Reluctant This love You will not know for life I understand I understand In my heart you will always exist Maybe one day you will miss But I have not But I have I have not Remember the beginning you can not meet That hectic and noisy environments A small town girl to the big city You must have heard this story When you are most alone when I accompany you I give you comfort and encouragement I own contradictions selfish sorrow every day Had to let you go Remember a year ago stood Station Watch their tragedy played out Saw you through the window and tears That locomotive is still spitting smoke I heard you became a manager now The future is like shining stars I just hope that all this can make you happy I can rest assured that go

During this time I do not know how crazy in love with this song, perhaps also because of the reason for parting melancholy, but around town girl really is not a lot, most want to miss these Hupenggouyou still around, every day is full for the last time , last time "ferocious animal" overnight, the last selling books, the last pass that way, the last time into the school library, the last time a cafeteria, not the last time we have the body of each body experience, but I always This will cherish every last until the back foot on the train. Go back to the train in front of these procedures or to a mess of one';s office, go to the library at noon back of the card, then go back on the machine card room, hey, these things leave their side, I felt really very Well, as abruptly taken away those years of expression. We photographed the morning, enjoy the photos, like all the years took our indulgent smile, took leave of indulgence.Evening light military treat, find a job, and everyone says penultimate drink wine, this four really did not know a bunch of friends over white. No matter what will happen after the road, you can not forget. Can not forget.

No Free Idealism for Free Life

essay this speech of my friend, his name Acbar Valex Anderson

read :

It feels incomplete if I did not write this .. regards solidarity Exist fighters who remain convinced that I can take on a human';;s existence is true this time ... I do not represent the institution, group or band, even to myself ..

Maybe we can share with this paper though sometimes sickening .. hopefully with this we could be a solid friend .. Ok! comrades ever .. for what we think we live in this world? And I think the answer varies

For a long time I lived to be a quiet Philosophical never preoccupied by problems of thesis, anti-thesis and synthesis .. which has always been a long labyrinth without end

Starting from worries with the attacking instincts of humanity propaganda .. that is because "we think we exist" if not that means animals .. ugh! I do not think all this time ... obviously I';;m depressed and I need to think about what? Since then history skularisme in me started. I began to love reading books .. and the same philosophy

with the principles that I live underground that I believe 80% were able to change my situation, my life .. until I was really satisfied and want to vomit with DIY problems and CAPITALISM, CONSUMPTIVE, Exploitation, ABUSES ... ugh! capitalist until whenever will be the winner in the battle of the world ... even though anti-capitalism activists huddled in the world.

Indeed they are winning mentality, but in practice non-sens .. because we still lost a great system and you can not be separated from the capitalist.

At first I wanted to take control and reclaim power as an individual .. but essentially idealistic freedom also has enslaved me ...

On one hand I do not want to say skularism .. I believe in God and I should be consistent with my belief .. that is to carry out religious ritual every time ... only God who should be the master .. and whatever there is in this universe-creation His natural duality .. and this is just going to be a game that arouse and if it is temporary .. the truth .. it';;s only temporary .. Good Philosophy, radical conflict, Counter Culture .. all merely a process .. and sometimes stagnating on the way ..

Strong evidence of the existence of God is the ultimate truth "Spirit" that any Liberal thinkers are not able to seek out the truth .. except the Spirit of God was the one who created it ...

So too low if we pledge our lives on a musical instrument which is actually solved for the concentration of life towards the Lord God .. even two-timing, self surrender on brushes or canvas .. even claiming to label myself as a musician who devoted his life to music as an artist .. or militant anarcho .. for me this is the ultimate truth in the world "God" was the source of liberation itself completely to control the world .. more than any straight path, and any Anarchism.

Think of human life can not be predictable and anyone not able to postpone death because death is the definitive voice of truth .. and the voice of truth is difficult to accept by those whose hearts had no sense .. even when you can tear your ear drums listening .. like lightning .. that';;s the voice of truth .. so not everyone is able to find the truth .. agree? Agree!!

So from the outset what our purpose in life? Skeptical as a subject or as a slave idealist .. though not necessarily the direction we collaborate with other existentialist still wrote ... is yes with notions like that you can be free from the cares of the world and discover the truth of toxicity bad, the mentalist inner restraints .. and try to think where your final footing .. choose a life path that is not preoccupied with worldly things or behave anything like it in the world as the alcoholic artificiality that only as a hollow that we should not be fooled with him .. learn about your relationship with the God ... because we have only a little time .. take advantage ... Ok!

How Australians Can Help with the Indonesian Clean Water Crisis

As Australians, many people's familiarity with Indonesia extends no further than the modern facilities and picturesque beaches found in the southern stretch of the island of Bali. One of the most deceptive things about traveling to tourist destinations

As Australians, many people';;s familiarity with Indonesia extends no further than the modern facilities and picturesque beaches found in the southern stretch of the island of Bali.  One of the most deceptive things about travelling to tourist destinations in countries which are by and large Third World Nations is seeing the quality of the infrastructure and assuming that it must be at least somewhat consistent throughout the nation.  However, in the case of Indonesia as with many similar nations, the conditions created for Westerners could not be further from the reality of the majority of the country.

Don';;t Drink the Water

Of course everyone who travels to Indonesia from Australia knows not to drink the water from the tap because of contaminants and poor levels of hygiene.  It is cost effective and easy to buy bottled water for the limited time on holiday in Indonesia, but this is not a long-term solution for the local people in the immediate area, let alone those living in remote parts of Bali, or especially those living on any one of the many, more remote, islands.

How Bad is Access to Clean Water Exactly?

It has been estimated by the Indonesian Research Institute (LIPI) that only about 30% of city residents and 10% of rural residents have access to clean water.  The Institute, known as the LIPI, has gone as far as to say that Indonesia has the worst conditions for drinking water in all of Southeast Asia.  The majority of rural communities share access to primitive, natural wells which are far too often located in watersheds where human and animal refuse is abundant.  As such these wells breed disease and even death, but more generally lead to malnutrition and poor health in local residents who cook with the water, bathe in the water, and drink the water.

Is there Hope for the Future?

In trying to meet the United Nations';; Millennium Development Goals, Indonesia has found itself facing quite a challenge as clean drinking water is only one of the criteria which must be met.  There is some discussion as to how the government should proceed, but the main issue, as usual, is finding funding.  Peat water filtration plants have had some success in rural areas, and there is some hope that more such facilities could be the answer.  Other issues which must be tackled include poverty, HIV and AIDS, Malaria and hunger.  When living in such conditions, clean drinking water can often be pushed to the bottom of the agenda, as other threats which seem more imminent, but are actually all closely related, take precedence.

What Can Everyday Australians Do to Help?

When it comes to access to clean and safe drinking water, luckily for the interested Australian there are a number of organisations working to combat the problem from both at home and abroad.  Those able to support such an organisation have options ranging from financial contributions to actually setting up clean and safe wells across Indonesia.  Unfortunately, much of the time government funding is either not available or inappropriately distributed, meaning that external aid organisations take the responsibility for providing the people with basic necessities like clean drinking water.  Getting involved is easy, with only a small amount of online research to find the organisation which best meets your objectives in helping Indonesians to access clean drinking water.

Do We Have A Throwaway Society?

As per a proverb we should not chuck the old bucket till we are fully confident about the new buckets water holding capacity. The depressing tale is that all of us are hurling away so much that in no time there will be no resources left for our coming generations. Our countless practices nowadays are putting a lot of strain on prospect capital and we might quickly find a lot of our requirements displeased because of our dumping attitude and slapdash practices.

There are numerous grounds as to why we are area under discussion to the hazard of a resource- lacking future. One of these is the steady need for superior standard of living and level of comfort. One more cause is our bigger intake of food, goods and supplies as well as our amplified use of items that contaminate our surroundings and make it perilous for living.

Society currently is looking for improved lifestyles. We live in a civilization where industrial expansions have exploded and where everyone searches for the most recent items making effort to get hold of a better standard of living. However, lavishness requirement never appear to come to a conclusion. Whenever a naive model come into sight in a market, the older belongings of the identical product soon turn into redundant and obsolete. As a result, countless previous obtained models are disposed of as an alternative of being second hand, or given to deprived people who most likely find it useful.

We robustly oppose throwaway society by way of our activism, our business lifestyle. In nearly all situations, the throwaway frame of mind is connected with the extravagant use of merchandises. But demonstration of this sinister ethic can be seen in fewer categories.

Consumer goods are purchased, used for a short time, and then are useless, because they smash rapidly or for the reason that they become outmoded. Many functional, even precious items are discarded, and fresh ones are acquired to swap them. In the meantime, as we devastate our land and dissipate our natural resources to build new ones, a greater portion of our populace still is devoid of material ease.

By not succeeding to be grateful for the worth of obsolete items, the throwaway culture generates an incompetent system of allocation in which a lot of citizens go without, while the landfills flourish. Regrettably, the case is conspicuously identical when it comes to wastage of food and mammal euthanasia.

Genetically Modified Food

Genetic engineering can produce plants with the required desired trait speedily and with great exactness. Use of B.T. genes in corn and further crops can be a good example of GM food.

Genetically modified foods are all in the news lately. Many organizations are actively remonstrating against GM foods.

The word GM foods is universally used to refer to plants produced for human or animal utilization using the most recent molecular biology practices. These crop plants are genetically changed in the laboratory to increase preferred traits. The augmentation of desired traits has conventionally been embarked on through breeding, but these methods can be very prolonged and are not very precise.

Genetic engineering can produce plants with the required desired trait speedily and with great exactness. Use of B.T. genes in corn and further crops can be a good example of GM food.

Our population is increasing day by day and is assumed to double in next coming 10-20 years. Our greatest challenge in coming years is to meet the food requirements of the growing masses.

Genetically engineered foods assures to meet this requirement in many ways:

Crop fatalities from insect pests can be astonishing, resulting in shocking financial hammering for farmers and malnourishment in developing countries. Farmers use countless tons of pesticides which has possible health dangers.

In some crops it is not economical to eradicate weeds physically so farmers often use herbicides to kill weeds. Plants Genetically-engineered plants require fewer amounts of herbicides.

Plants are very vulnerable to disease causing viruses and bacteria. GMF are resistant to viruses.

Many genes from fishes are transferred to plants which increase their resistance to cold.

Genetically altered food are resistant to drought or less water availability.

Modified foods are very nutritious.

Environmental protester, religious associations, public interest sets and other officials have all hoist apprehensions about GM foods.

They cause harm to lining organisms. Of course the harm is unintended.

Weeds develop resistance against different herbicides. In near future they will turn out to be one of the ineffective practices.

Genetically-modified foods have the possibility to decipher world';;s hunger and undernourishment tribulations, and to facilitate protect and conserve the environment by growing produce and plummeting dependence upon pesticides and herbicides. However there are numerous challenges to come for governments, specifically in the region of security testing, supervision, international strategy and food cataloging.

Many citizens sense that genetic engineering is the predestined signal of the prospect and that we cannot snub a technology with colossal latent profit. However, we must advance with vigilance to keep away from causing inadvertent harm to human well being and the environment.

Appelsap Festival (Apple Juice Festival)

A short story about a dutch mutlinational hip hop festival in Amsterdam.

Care for some juice...

Appelsap, is a festtival that first was organized back in 2001, since it';s debut it has been a hallmark and highly anticipated activity in the Netherlands. People from all over Holland travel to Amsterdam to catch a glimp of their favourite artist performing. In 2007 and 2008 the organisation filed to manage the finaces so those years weren';t that ';juicy';. In 2009 the train continued rolling and there were some new genres added like: soul neo-jazz and disco. This meant that the visitors wouldn';t only consist of hip hop fanatics anymore and the mood would be more varied.

Some known stage rockers and crowd surfers have been known as: Flatbush Zombies, Clipse, Pharoahe Monch French Montana, Schoolboy Q, Black Hippy, Danny Brown, Ab-Soul, as for the delight of hip hop and rap. Jesse Boykins III for the soul singers, BadBadNotGood, DJ Lefto, Full Crate en Rob Manga at the disco breaking down the house. and the soulfull Lefties Soul Connection.

These are just some of the industry';s big names that we';ve welcomed, so the quality will only get beytter and the bass only more noticed.

On the sidenote, about the 2013 edition we had Wacka Flocka as our lead act. Thee barely festival was fully sold out ahnd there have been reports of a crowd that was about ten-thousand deep, in the Oosterpark, Amsterdam. While Waka Flocka performed two of his hitsongs Karma and Wild Boy the crowd went ecstatic there was kicking pushing and shoving, but in a amical way going along with the performed song. After a wild crowd surf Waka Flocka continued his performance in the overly ecstatic crowd. Unaware of the enthoustiac of the crowd Waka tried to get back on stage he bareley managed to do so. While Waka was turnin up in the crowd people were forced to jump the lines between them and the stage. These party goers chose not to get squeezed by the immense crowd by getting on the stage. Security didn';t even bother to intervene they were outnumbered and everyone inside had paid for entrance so there was no denying these people on stage, it would';ve jeoperdized their lives.

The stage got so full that Waka wasn';t able to finish his performance so his act got shut down. The festival had a slight reschedual and was concluded by some Dutch artists.

Appelsap had an afterparty too like all it';s predecessors, the 2013 edition had Gunplay as it';s main act but that';s a story for another time.

Have you ever thought of surviving without agriculture?

Every people living on this planet earth accustom their tongue towards their favorite dishes. Eating food is not only a concern of delicious rejoice but also a concern of health. But have you ever wondered about eating food without agriculture?

The food we eat in our routine life is the result of agriculture and it involves a painstaking toiling of a farmer. Due to recent advancements in technology and various money making methodologies the practice of agriculture is slowly abandoned by the new generation human offspring. Have you ever thought of a world without agriculture? Here is the hypothetical picture of the world without agriculture:

There would be no cities and towns.

The human population would be very meager than today';s population since there won';t be enough food for increasing population. The size of the population would be kept smaller because of death of humans due to starvation or due to infertility that occur due to malnutrition.

In most part of the world humans would lead a nomadic life in a constant search for food.

Human dwellings would be close to rivers and lakes, and other sources of fresh water. The deep deserts and dense forests would be the least inhabitable for human dwelling. Deforestation might never happened.

Their would not be any domestic livestock except dogs. This will markedly increase the wild animal population which could ba another threat for human survival.

Humans leading a nomadic life and gather food through hunting would be diguised as modern humans, rich in wealth. Due to high protein meat diets they would have strong bones and teeth. Diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and osteoporosis would remain unknown and might never shown its onset.

Humans would live for relatively short life span since diets without vitamins never assist anti-aging.

Cooking would doom life of women since soot from the campfires and firewood stoves will be packed inside their lungs. Men would die in advance because of the accidental wounds they get during hunting animals.

Life would be family-centered rather than money-centered

Life would be very difficult if agriculture never exist in the world. It is a boon to have agricultural practices which saved the mankind for millions of years. It is everyone';s duty to respect the farmer for his toiling. Never, ever waste foods that is served to you.

5 Ways to Help the Environment Every Day with Minimal Effort

Taking care of the environment is the responsibility that every person on this planet should do what they can to participate in. Nonetheless, many people do not give a second thought to the environment while others think that they have to make an enormous effort to make a difference. The fact is, however, that if you get into a few good habits to make the world a better place for everyone, you will also be able to experience benefits closer to home such as lowering your utility and transport bills. Here are five habits you can get into to help the environment with minimal effort.

1) Turn Things Off

Are you in the habit of leaving many of your home appliances on standby? Do you leave the lights on when you go out of the room? Ask yourself why you do this. For many people, it is just habit rather than laziness, but it is one that costs you money and adds to an overall negative influence on your wider surroundings. Get into the habit of turning lights off when you leave the room, shutting down your computer when you';ve finished using it and decreasing the use of air conditioning and heating to a minimal level and you will also be financially rewarded.

2) Recycle and Reuse

In some parts of the world, such as the UK, recycling is now mandatory to an extent. In other places, it is entirely optional. Regardless, however, it doesn';t take much effort to throw paper or plastic waste in the appropriate recycling bins where they are available. Getting into the habit of reusing certain items will also help the environment while in some cases saving you money in the process. There';s no need to go over the top, but a moment of thought before throwing something away can make a world of difference.

3) Cut Down on Transport

Transport costs are going up all around the world and, for many, things like running a car and commuting to work can make your outgoings skyrocket. Cut down on transport costs by looking for alternative methods. Consolidate your trips so that you can get more done in one hit rather than doing multiple journeys and spending twice as much or more on fuel. You may also find that public transport is cheaper than driving yourself.

4) Eat Healthier

Healthy eating is not only better for your own health; it is usually better for the environment as well. It can cost more money to eat healthier if you only stick to supermarkets, although shopping at places like farmers'; markets and buying local produce can actually save you money. Try to stick to fruits and vegetables that are in season and, if possible, grow some of your own. It is better for the environment, and usually your wallet too. For example, buy locally produced tomatoes rather than ones which have been shipped in from the other side of the world.

5) Use Fewer Appliances

Get into the habit of using fewer appliances as doing so will also help you to decrease your utility bills. Some useful tips include doing the laundry only when you have a full load to wash, defrosting food in the open rather than in the microwave and drying clothes naturally rather than in a dryer. Think for a moment before using an electrical appliance – you may well be using more than you need to.
